Government shutdown: FBI officials fear investigations being harmed by lack of funding
At federal law enforcement agencies from the FBI to the DEA to Customs and Border Protection and others, [including the IRS] the frustration about having missed a pay-check last week because of the partial government shutdown is growing into fear and anger amid signs the lack of funds is affecting investigations.
Those who are charged with protecting the nation from criminals and terrorists could be facing enormous external financial stressors as they try to stay focused on their work.
This isnt PlayStation, this is peoples lives were talking about, said one law enforcement official, who spoke like others on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorised to speak publicly about the shutdown. Its awful.

Coast Guard's top admiral criticizes 'unacceptable' impact of the shutdown
By KATIE GALIOTO

The Coast Guards top officer lashed out at the government shutdown Tuesday night on Twitter as thousands of federal employees faced missing a second paycheck during the monthlong lapse in funding.
Ultimately, I find it unacceptable that Coast Guard men and women have to rely on food pantries and donations to get through day-to-day life as service members, Adm. Karl Schultz said in a video posted to his Twitter account.
The Coast Guard faces more severe effects of the shutdown because, unlike other branches of the armed forces, it is funded by the Department of Homeland Security. The Department of Defense, which oversees most sectors of the U.S. military, is fully funded until Sept. 30.
About 41,000 active-duty service members and 2,100 civilians considered essential employees are working without a paycheck, Coast Guard spokesman Chad Saylor said. Another 6,400 civilians working for the service are furloughed.

So, with Teflon Don tweeting like a cartoon character about "border security," he obviously doesn't care about keeping drugs, which cause all kinds of crime, off the streets of every city in the USA.

Doesn't his Wall banter and Make America Great Again appear hypocritical in light of reality?
