Mike Huckabee Would Like to Remind You That Rape Has Created Some Extraordinary People

Why is everybody so down on rape? This is what Mike Huckabee wanted to know today, on his radio program, which also featured Rep. Todd "Legitimate Rape" Akin as a guest. For instance, did you know that Ethel Waters was conceived when her mother got raped? Do you know what a world without rape would look like? A world without Ethel Waters, that's what.

This is what Mike Huckabee said today, as transcribed by the Los Angeles Times' James Rainey, about the upside of being raped and then getting pregnant.

Who would deliver the message that it's yet another reason why it's racist to be pro- choice?

Twisting history to suite their agenda is the most twisted way of revealing the state of education in this country.

That you or anyone else would make this statement. So that you are aware, a middle school student published the statement as fact in the school newsletter.

he government has the right to force a woman or girl to carry to term a child she doesn't want, thereby extending the suffering of the initial attack.

by saying that slaves were better off than African Americans are now.

Why not rape? I can't imagine what they will think up next. Pedophilia is probably next on the list. I can just see it now "It's not genuine pedophilia if the person claiming to be a victim takes the candy and benefits from it - they should have just not taken the candy."

The Republican party seems to have elected some of the most sick elements of society.

Was that a 'legimate' rape? And what person is their right mind would want to put a 13 yr.-old child through a rape and then a pregnancy?

Mike Huckabee, and the ignorant chauvinist GOP he represents, are so out of touch with reality that they not only talk this kind of trash, but they actually believe it themselves.

The UPSIDE of rape? Seriously? An upside? So rape is a good thing because it produced Ethel Waters?

They have never been raped. There is no upside.

Jesus! What is wrong with these mental midgets?

A powerful, Authoritarian, Republican knows what is better for society than you do. If you aren't in a position of authority, you deserve to be there. You deserve to be enslaved, told what to do, and be forced into whatever role they deem you able to do.

According to most of them, Christ laid out the following - everyone that isn't a male, white and Christian is inferior. They believe themselves stewards of the Earth. You NEED them to tell you what to do, because you aren't smart enough to know how to direct your own life. You are a dumb animal.

Christ said no such thing, and we all know that, but in their over-inflated importance, that's what he was all about - installing the educated Authoritarian male as stewards of the Earth. They, like Mitt Romney, believe they are Gods. Only they know the best path for humanity to take.

Female and get raped? You got a blessing because it was by a great man.

Starving children? They are bad because they weren't born of parents that fed them, and deserve to die.

You NEED them to help you, because you are not smart enough to guide your own life.

That's the fucked up philosophy behind this bullshit.
