There is another "Obama guts welfare reform" ad being aired to saturation in some swing states right now.

Since there is no factual basis to it whatsoever, it could just as easily be an ad claiming that Obama wants to give Texas back to Mexico.

But of all the issues in the world to simply lie about, why welfare?

The fate or progress of welfare reform has never been a political issue during the Obama presidency. There has never been a welfare controversy. There was never an action that caused the RW to exclaim, "Welfare reform is being gutted!"

Food stamps? Yes. Unemployment insurance? Yes. But welfare has not been on anyone's radar.

This whole welfare attack is ethically indistinguishable from the Jesse Helm's "black hand" ad.

2. Even rMoney knows that the majority of Welfare recipients are white, rural, and in red states.

They're just using the tired old (and inaccurate) stereotype of the inner-city black Welfare queen in the Cadillac. Find me one example of that and I'll reconsider how I feel. Don't hold your breath. Most Welfare recipients have a Chevy up on blocks in the front yard.
