If it were an isolated incident of one ignorant dumb ass,I think Akins comments would not be as FRIGHTENING as they are...
Offensive? without a DOUBT! Ignorant? goes without saying!
But what is so frightening is the idea that this is the mindset of men in positions of power that make laws we have to obey!!!
Idaho state Sen. Chuck Winder (R) recently justified his opposition to abortion in cases of rape by questioning whether women really know what rape is.
"I would hope that when a woman goes in to a physician with a rape issue, that physician will indeed ask her about perhaps her marriage, was this pregnancy caused by normal relations in a marriage or was it truly caused by a rape," he told colleagues during a debate over an anti-abortion bill.
This is just one example of many including Ryan's Bill to change the wording to "forcible" Rape..
Georgia's attempt last year to change the wording of rape victim to rape accuser.
Utah's "Criminal Miscarriage" Law
If you aren't outraged AND frightened, you aren't paying attention!!
How about we invent a time machine and shag ALL their asses back to the puritan days???It's where they belong with their archaic thinking!!!
