13. It's going to be a battle to the end

"Logic" and "Reason" dictate that he is DONE.

And logic and reason didn't put him in office.

We need a candidate who is battle-tested, smart as a whip, and tough as nails.

And it will be a battle all the way. The secret is for our candidate to fight that battle on their own terms.

I've written this on DU a few times, but my "political awareness" began when I picked up Al Franken's "Lies, and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them." Before that, I had no idea who Karl Rove was. And what I learned as my awareness grew is that part of Rove's "strategy" was to define the battlefield. and to get his opponent on the battlefield chasing their own tail.

Trump can't define the battlefield. That was the lesson he learned this week from Nancy Pelosi. The same approach needs to be taken by whoever our candidate ends up being.

I will say that if the Democratic Party runs a solid candidate and Trump only focuses on his base and doesn't cater to independents, we will have the upper hand. His base is not big enough to carry him. All polls show that independents have turned.

He has done more than any other president. He has been implicated in more scandals, outright violations of the constitution, shutdown the government longer than any other, had more of his people indicted, convicted or otherwise disgraced than even Nixon, etc..
Yes it shall be easy for us Democrats unless of course its rigged again and we screw it up.
