She no doubt can't resist the opportunity to cleanse the world of a concentrated batch of scum.

I can only hope it's a "surgical strike" with no collateral damage to people who don't deserve it.

every Gay Pride parade day when it rained, would say God was expressing his disgust by making it rain. She was silent the years it was sunny and 75 degrees on parade day. Just goes to show how freakin' insane these people are.

I wonder how the thumpers would spin a hurricane slamming into Tampa the days of their come-to-Jee-a-zus meeting.

The hookers, strip clubs and houses of domination would be devastated! However, it really wouldn't have a big political impact.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are the nominees. Delegates for Ron Paul will not even be allowed in the door of the Convention Center.

As for the Repub platform: Well, that will be the Ryan Budget, plus whatever the whims of Their Satanic Majesties, The Brothers Koch dictate.

We could use the rain but I hope it's nothing serious. Here's a bit of trivia: The name Isaac means "the laughing one". :

I believe they were in MN that time, but because the gulf area suffered damage, they didn't want to reprise the lack of engagement that the GOP was notorious for during Katrina.

At least that's how I remember it.

because of it. I haven't had time to google it, but I recall it was used as an excuse to not do something.

ETA: It was Hurricane Gustav. The Repubs delayed any real "politicking" until after Labor Day because of it, they instead wanted everyone to be focused on helping those hit by the hurricane. After their in power party's fantastic response to Katrina, they didn't want to look 'unfeeling' . Like that could EVER happen...

and if that's the case, I want all of you here on DU to pray really hard.

That includes you, atheists. Admit it. If a hurricane struck Tampa next week you'd believe just a teensy little bit, wouldn't you?
