On Monday before he was charged, Stone told The Daily Beast that he expected to be indicted by the special counsel.

“I think it is possible that I will be framed, in which case I will expose both illegal surveillance on me and gross prosecutorial misconduct by a number of lawyers working for Mueller.”

I also suspect Mueller has the goods on him and trump, and how they got information to use to threaten others with. Stone will regret his actions very soon.

But they have enough in State charges just waiting to be used against him that can't be pardoned I think, and some State charges can actually make him end up with more time behind bars, and Mueller has planned this to protect the cases against him and others knowing trump could do this. Stone is taking the same path as Manafort , only he's arrogantly speaking out not understanding they have everything on him. He'll end up just like Manafort , stuck in prison regretting his actions.
