Mueller has indicted the Russians, but not yet indicted or named the Americans. Perhaps the search warrants for all of Stone's residences and office was needed to get the evidence needed to close the conspiracy circle. Stone's so full of himself as a dirty trickster he probably memorialized everything he ever did for posterity.
