Maybe once a year as a treat but other than that, I make my coffee at home and haul around a thermos. I can't have fancy cream or sugar anyway. If I want a change of flavor, I just use cinnamon or nutmeg.

We have many independant coffee shops that all have better coffee for less money. The only place they surive is in malls where they have a monopoly.

worked at Starbucks for six years and people are whipping up a boycott against the company. It won't hurt him. If you want to protest his potential candidacy, give him direct feedback.

If so, a boycott most certainly would send a stronger message to him than "giving him direct feedback."

Dunkin is something I will not drink. bitter and nasty tasting. I stop one day a week at the Starbucks shop in our grocery store. It's my one treat in the two trips I make outside my home now. OT and groceries. I'll continue to enjoy my Starbucks treat.

I don't think Schultz will run. He seems to be listening to critics.

Any other chain is atleast as good. Coffee is fine but not amazing. Isnt DD owned by Mitt Romney's Bain Capital? I hate to say Starbucks coffee is head and shoulders above any other major coffee. Just my opinion.

They failed. Why? They put their stores in the wrong places and nobody went to them, because they were out of the way. They chose locations based on the cost of the space, rather than on traffic flow patterns. Not smart.

I avoid the major chains because they generally pay minimum wage with no benefits. (Starbucks actually pay their workers better than most.) Here in NYC, there are lots of coffee to go carts in the mornings. They are often owned and staffed by an immigrant trying to make a living. Other places probably have small coffee shops that sell coffee to go.

hour and a half...my youngest was with me. She wanted a chai tea latte which was on Tim Horton's menu. But the two jokers who worked there thought it would be amusing I guess to give her a coffee with a tea bag in it...I was so angry but my daughter hates confrontations. So I called Tim Hortons the next day, they were rude and couldn't have cared a less; I have not set foot in a Tim Hortons since. Also remember Schultz is the former CEO of Starbucks. I don't like Starbucks that much anyway...coffee is good for my taste but I know they don't really treat their workers well as my future daughter in law works there.
