So while I tried to call the SDI/EDD here, there are LITERALLY NO options on the #menu to speak to an ACTUAL person, so I can't find out who has my claim or if it is even being processed.
I edited the original gofundme to clarify: this is not federal disability - this is STATE Temporary Disability, much like unemployment, and I have had to do this twice in the past three years fir the same reasons...it has NEVER been this messed up! I guess the holidays were the monkey wrench in the program, but still...
So I have raised my original amt to cover the upcoming phone and gas bills, and also take into acct the need to feed my teens! (damn they can eat a lot)
I don't like asking anyone outright for help, but if you can repost on your twitter, or FB, please do...anything helps

there are LITERALLY NO phone numbers to reach an actual person @ SDI!!! 
I did a search online and tried a couple alternative #s...got one person @ EDD who had no access to that system, and she said they removed all their numbers and turned them off last year...she had nothing else to offer.
WTH?
I paid into my SDI every paycheck, technically, that is MY money and I can't tak to a fucking representative????
I've been without a paycheck longer than the Shutdown (Nov 15)
This is just crazy, the only option I have is to drive from Tahoe to Sacramento (yeah, right...gas$$??)
and go to their office at 7am and wait in person ...like the fucking DMV... if they even SEE people in the actual building!
I'm so done...
