Until the Congressional GOP condemn trump and his dangerous comments, he will continue on............
As an Intelligence warrior my mission was to identify imminent threats to our great nation. A megalomaniacal, delusional #RussianAsset who thinks he knows better than all of us is the greatest threat this nation has ever faced. Our Constitution gives us tools to #DisArmTheThreat

(16,937 posts)I really like what Olga said:
"The only thing our intel community needs to do is present the evidence to lock the Russian agent away for life as well as his criminal children and associates."

(33,400 posts)The GOP is nowhere near ready to convict on Impeachment.

(63,221 posts)2 more years is a nightmare. 6 more years is unthinkable!

(33,400 posts)we've already made it 2 years. 2 more won't be pleasant, but we'll probably muddle through.
i'm not holding out a great deal of hope for mueller or impeachment. this nation is sleepwalking through this - unemployment is low, inflation is "under control", the various crises of the day are long-term (ACC) or easy to ignore (homelessness, opiates, ceaseless wars). no one is in the streets over Trumprussia, and would it make any difference if they were?
mueller needs to nail it down in a way that can't be dismissed. but if trump was "smart" enough to say "don't tell me what you're doing, I don't want to know, just get it done", then where's the smoking gun that the dim bulbs in the GOP senate can't ignore?

(22,797 posts)Here by several individuals who are much smarter than I am about such and the general consensus is that impeachment AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN, not without the Senate. So until that changes and Dems gain control of the Senate, I wouldn't hold my breath or keep my fingers crossed for impeachment.
It is a dead issue at this point.
Yes, this is verbatim from another thread.

(33,414 posts)Impeachment is a Constitutional duty that has never been more suited to an occupant of the White House than the present.
If impeachment is dead, then so is the Constitution, and therefore the U.S.

(33,400 posts)but Impeachment is not dead. In fact, it's likely.
Better time it right, however. When he's let off the hook by the Senate, he'll see a bounce.

Thank you, Malcom Nance, for being a leading voice of reason and for sounding the alarm about Trump since the outset.
