Todd Akin's Apology Website Removes Fetus Photo, Has Spelling Calamity

Tuesday, Akin launched a new site called akin.org/still-standing that apologized for his mistake, and featured a photo of a fetus on one side on the page and a photo his opponent for Senate Claire McCaskill next to President Barack Obama on the other.

The site also misspelled the word "you're" in a sentence that asked supporters to tell McCaskill "your standing with Todd Akin!"

After criticism poured in, the site quickly removed the fetus photo. The word "your" also became "your're," another incorrect spelling, before being replaced by the correct "you're."

Ironically, the words beneath the spelling error on Akin's site read; "I made a mistake. I used the wrong words in the wrong way."

"Classy," Democratic strategist Todd Pinelo wrote on Twitter of the Web site debacle.
