CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason announced that five defendants were indicted for failing to pay child support.

The five defendants owe a combined $129,469.23 in child support arrears. The charge of criminal non-support is a fifth degree felony which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison. These indictments are a result of a joint investigative effort by the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. Arraignments for the following defendants are scheduled for Thursday, August 23.

William Moore, 46, of Cleveland, was indicted on six counts of criminal non-support. He owes $70,783.31 for his two children ages 10 and 16. Two hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2008 and 2012. The last voluntary payment was made on July 3, 2012, in the amount of $222.00.

Wali Bell, 40, of Shaker Heights, was indicted on two counts of criminal non-support. He owes $21,578.06 for his 18-year-old child. Five hearings were held in Domestic Relations Court between 1999 and 2010. The last voluntary payment was made on May 10, 2010, in the amount of $150.00.
