What good can their Convention do the Republicans?

I've been sort of thinking about it and it seems to me that as far as the Republicans are concerned there really isn't any good that can come from their Convention. Its not like the Republican Party doesn't "know who Romney is" by now, not after the interminable debates they had during their Primaries and the more or less non-stop news coverage of the election that began as soon as Romney cinched his Parties' nomination. When Christie and Rubio speak all its going to do is remind their base of what they didn't get and there is always noise by the Ron Paul contingent that could spring up our of a clear blue Kansas night. Oh, and there is always the chance of unruly protests in the streets or over-reaction by the local Police - which seemed almost guaranteed to my mind after seeing the Chief interviewed a couple of weeks ago. Let's see, what else could go wrong? Perchance the Christian Right might rise up in revolt and refuse their ballot to the heretic? Stranger things have happened.

Anyway about all I can see is possible calamity for the GOP. It may turn out to great fun to watch.

that a mighty whinge (I mean wind) will sweep over the land, taking away those annoying progressives and their pesky facts.

Imagine how that would confuse everyone, especially the media.
Without protesters, reporters will be looking for other stories,
staking out strip clubs, etc.

An invisible, haunting protest..

But I will enjoy the highlights of truth gaffes, and a possible brokered convention. I'm hoping Ron Paul puts up a stink, and I hope the grifter shows up.

have Hurricane Isaac raking up the west coast of Florida next week.

Since the more they talk, the more trouble they get into, they might just be saved!
