If Fairfax becomes Governor as a result of this, he would be eligible to run for his own full term

If Fairfax becomes Governor as a result of this, he would be eligible to run for his own full term in 2021.

If he did, and won, he would become one of the longest serving Governors of Virginia in the modern era.
