2013 VA Gubernatorial/Lt Governor/Attorney General Democratic Ticket.

Governor- McAullife got a free pass.
Lt Governor- Northam defeated Chopra.
Attorney General- Herring defeated Fairfax.

If Perriello-D had challenged McAullife in the 2013 Democratic primary for Governor, Could Perreillo-D have won the Democratic Primary and the November General Election?

VA Democratic party has no one to blame but themselves for the mess they are in right now.
They could have convinced Perriello-D to run for Governor in 2013, helped him win the Democratic Nomination and the November General Election.
They could have helped Aneesh Chopra-D win the 2013 Democratic primary for Lt Governor and Justin Fairfax-D win the 2013 Democratic primary for Attorney General.
VA Democrats in 2013 could of had a White Progressive rising star former US Congressman- Tom Perriello-D for Governor, an Indian American rising star former Federal/State Technology chief- Aneesh Chopra-D for Lt Governor and a rising star African American former Federal Prosecutor- Justin Fairfax-D for Attorney General.
In 2017, Chopra-D would have been elected Governor, Fairfax-D would have been elected Lt Governor, Herring would have been elected Attorney General.
