The Rape of Richard Beck

The GOP should play this movie during the convention:

Cop Beck (Crenna) thinks rape victims "bring it upon themselves" to be raped but has a mind-changing experience when he himself is raped by a couple of white trash felons, one of whom actually says he's going to make him "squeal like pig".

Mr. Tikki watched it with me because I kind of sprung it on him. He worked long hours in those days
and fell asleep before the movie was over but asked me more about it later...then he cringed.

I always thought Richard Crenna was so brave to tell this story. He was very believable as the victim.

2. Yep. It won an Emmy. Amazing that it was made almost 30 years ago when there were only 3 networks.

3. Do you remember a TV Movie 'Manhunt: Search For The Night Stalker (1989)? What was so amazing...

about that movie was that the young woman reporter who is on
location near East Los Angeles stands in defiance of her news producer
and the network executives and goes ahead and informs the neighborhoods
in East Los Angeles that the killer Richard Ramirez is back there.
The citizens on their own streets are the ones who capture that heinous criminal
and hold him for police.
We don't see many newscasters in real life being that brave and responsible any more.
