if Democrats proceed with investigations of his lies and criminal activity but I can't find it in the transcript. Did anyone else hear this in the speech last night?

(2,785 posts)of course we probably don't want to pass any legislation that Trump likes, because it would probably be awful. Or it could mean. You cannot investigate me after I start a war, or it could mean both.

(51,611 posts)"If there is going to peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn't work that way!" Trump said as Democrats such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., looked on stone-faced."

(14,974 posts)It wasn't so much a threat to start a war as it was a threat to fight with the Democrats about EVERYTHING legislative -- even over areas where the two parties already agree -- if they don't stop investigating things.

(1,850 posts)He's basically incoherent. I'm trying really hard to ignore 100% of what he utters between now and when he pleads to the indictments against him. Life is too short to try and follow the twisted paths of his narcissism. I just hope he doesn't start WWIII before he's impeached.
