Cindy McCain saw woman with toddler of diff ethnicity. Called cops

Cindy McCain claims that she saw human trafficking at a Phoenix airport. Police found no evidence of any misconduct.

The widow of the late Senator John McCain, who co-chairs the Arizona Governor's Council on Human Trafficking, said on Monday that she witnessed what she believed was human trafficking at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport last week.

“I came in from a trip I’d been on and I spotted — it looked odd — it was a woman of a different ethnicity than the child, this little toddler she had, and something didn’t click with me,” she said on KTAR News.

“I tell people 'Trust your gut.' I went over to the police and told them what I saw and they went over and questioned her and, by God, she was trafficking that kid.”


But Phoenix police disputed McCain’s claims and said that officers “determined there was no evidence of criminal conduct or endangerment,” according to NBC 12.

The fact that she went to the police based on ethnicity is bad enough. But why would she make the statement “by God, she was trafficking that kid”? She continued to embellish the story by saying a woman was waiting for the man who bought the child. The police say none of that was true. Maybe Cindy needs to see a doctor.

She caused some innocent person fear and humiliation.

At Phoenix Sky Harbor, I reported an incident that I thought was trafficking,” she tweeted.

“I commend the police officers for their diligence. I apologize if anything else I have said on this matter distracts from “if you see something, say something.”

I guess that's her way of acknowledging she was wrong.
