Columnist @hiltzikm: The symbolism is unmistakable.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren has scheduled the formal announcement of her presidential candidacy in Lawrence, Mass, the site of one of the most important and successful strikes in U.S. labor history. https://t.co/ZHsLoxGIWv

(85,998 posts)...one for the history books, maybe.
Very striking image, plainspoken woman with an economic message which strikes to the hearts of most Americans wondering when they'll ever get ahead financially.
She's really good at this. Very inspiring. (Hope folks are listening in)

(36,865 posts)The part about daycare connects with a lot of families, especially single parents (lol... three bags of M&M's and five days later).
As a woman, I felt a great sense of pride by how she integrated the badass women textile workers throughout the speech.
It was a wonderful and inclusive economic message about the power of coming together and bringing about change for the vast majority of Americans (many of which never had a chance at all due to a rigged system).
That one person in the audience, though.
