Stuck on a Valentine's Day gift? Forget the flowers.
Give her a copy of Michelle Obama's book, "Becoming." It. Is. Great.
Michelle doesn't use her book to "get back" at anyone. She uses it to tell about growing up on the south side of Chicago, getting into Princeton and then Harvard Law School, meeting a really smart guy with a weird name and saying to him, "You're a really smart guy. How can you be stupid enough to smoke?"
And for you guys trying everything to get a girl, try doing what Obama did. Ask her if she'd like to go get some ice cream.
This is a wonderfully smart, strong woman. She was doing just fine and had no plans for getting into politics and becoming the First Lady. But for all her dislike of politics, she became a magnificent First Lady who, to all outward appearances, ignored the hatred of the bigots, the know nothings, and the entire Republican Party.
Give this book to your loved one female/male, whoever. They'll love you for the gift of knowledge about this incredible woman. And you'll love Michelle more than you do now.
