A top Saudi official appealed to U.S. lawmakers who are considering sanctions on Saudi individuals connected to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi to let a judicial process run its course before taking action.
"I wish the Congress would take a step back, look at the overall relationship, look at the steps that Saudi Arabia has taken, and let the process play out," Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir told reporters on Friday.
"Judge us when it's complete," he said.
Al-Jubeir's visit coincided with a deadline imposed on the White House by Congress to issue a report on whether Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, was responsible for Khashoggi's death.

(23,105 posts)Like any investigation in this totally family run oligarchy means a damn thing -HA!! Doesn't matter how much money they spend, it doesn't make up for them being premeditated murderers who killed because they didn't like Khashoggi revealing the truth of how vile they are or for the criminal orange traitor who assisted with this.
Me.
(35,454 posts)What process? And as far as an overall relationship...do the crime, pay with sanctions. But then as al-Jubeir says...mistakes happen. So maybe he and that nasty crown prince should have a mistake happen to them. And now with their connection to the AMI matter, they really need to start paying for their crimes.
