I feel so badly for her.
To grow up with a dad that was a serial killer~
The detective that captured BTK died of cancer and yet BTK still lives
In the interview she says she wished her (dad) BTK was dead and not Detective Landweir
it is really freaky
Read "A Serial Killer's Daughter"

(9,267 posts)Her mom divorced him, remarried and the new husband adopted the daughter (now in her mid 30s). Bundy trivia fanatics (theyre out there) think she lives in England. Dont blame her.

(36,827 posts)I knew a guy who was BTK's supervisor way back in the Air Force.
He said BTK was just an ordinary airman.

(3,428 posts)Hannah Arendt used that phrase to describe Adolph Eichmann, iirc.
Most Nazis were ordinary people who did evil things. I suppose that applies to most serial killers.

https://www.denofgeek.com/us/culture/true-crime/278697/btk-a-killer-among-us-special-coming-to-idDennis Rader murdered 10 people, including two children, in the Wichita, Kansas, area between 1974 and 1991. He taunted the police and gave himself his own nickname, the BTK Killer, based on the method of his crimes: Bind, Torture, Kill. When he was arrested in 2005, Rader pointed the police to the Wichita Public Library, where he'd stashed a letter he wrote in October 1974 detailing the killing of four members of the Otero family on January 15, of that year. Two of the victims were children, aged 9 and 11, the bodies were found by their sibling, who was only in tenth grade. BTK: A Killer Among Us which premieres Sunday, February 17 at 10 p.m. on Investigation Discovery, will explore the incidents.

(14,565 posts)9 PM on HLN they'll have a new episode on last year's capture of Joseph DeAngelo, who was EAR ONS/Golden State Killer.
Then the two-hour BTK documentary is convenient beginning at 10 PM.
The following night February 18th at 9 PM HLN will broadcast another new episode on the capture of DeAngelo.
I watch all of this true crime stuff.
DeAngelo has three daughters but none of them have spoken publicly. Like BTK, I expect it will eventually happen but probably many years if not decades down the road.

(30,540 posts)it really makes me think and wonder about the different kinds of people in this world, some so good and some so bad. Investigation Discovery ID network has lots of true crime cases of all kinds, it's my go to network.

(86,646 posts)Bind Torture Kill
He lived in Park City and killed before he had kids, continued and then just stopped. Then in 2004 he started taunting the media and police. They finally caught him in 2005. His daughter remembers knowing one of the ladies he killed and tortured.
Now he is in EDCF and my brother in law is a prison guard. Has to keep his eye on the sick fuck.
