She's only had about 5 posts at DU but they have been amazing reads. It started with my thread about the Magdelene Laundries where 'fallen' Catholic girls were sent when they were perceived as disgraced women. I had only read about these but to read this poster's story is just, wow, not sure how to describe it but it's memorable.

I feel like we're at a crossroads where once again men want to find new ways to shame what they perceive are 'fallen' women. I also thing the story of the Magdelene Laundries is a story that has been buried because of the Priest Child abuse scandal but it's equally as horrifying.
