Nice interview with Beto in it.

(51,611 posts)They said they are seeing more immigrants walking on this side of the border. That is BS! I think they were deplorables so they are not reliable witnesses since they are blind sheep that will say anything their dear leader tells them to say. If you looked into their ear you would be able to see blue sky through the empty space where a functioning brain would normally be.

(86,650 posts)It's not the problem they make it out to be. I have lived in San Diego off and on between the early 1070s and 1980s, before the wall. There was a mass migration back then too, when Elliot Abrams was doing his thing in Central America. There was a problem where a lot of migrants were trying to cross the Interstates and getting hit! I encountered desert crossers when I was out recreating but we weren't really seeing families and children like we are now.
At any rate the problem is mostly a problem because we aren't good at immigration policy.

(42,770 posts)In El Paso. No panel yak yak. And they put some money into production. Had aerial views and then correspondents at various places along the border. It put so much into perspective. Even most of the repukes interviewed sounded 1/2 sane. So much of the border is extremely barren and isolated or have difficult mountains to cross.
