Will Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats find a way to block any executive action or, in the end, will it be built?

(18,402 posts)And Im probably going off on some kind of paranoid, conspiratorial binge here. But I was pondering why he is so hell bent not just on the wall, but on this specific number of billions of dollars attached to it.
And then Im thinking: what has this man been doing all these years? Well, building things, for one. With other peoples money, and stiffing contractors all the time, and going bankrupt, and getting mixed up with Russian mob figures because the banks wont lend him money anymore.
And hes probably up to his neck in it. And these contractors and mobsters probably want their money back. And $5.7 billion in federal contracts will probably get them off his back and prevent them from putting a horse head in his bed or worse, like kidnapping someone near and dear.
Well, there, I said it. And it may be kinda nuts. But nuts is how this guy rolls. It may just be his last possible way of getting a jumbo loan to take the heat off.

(66,393 posts)that I can't imagine it happening.
The wall literally borders on the Achilles-heel of all republicans: property rights.
If Trump tries to exercise eminent domain on those properties along the US-Mexico border, he will lose staggering numbers of property-rights Republicans.

(12,157 posts)The wall will get built about the same time Trump wins the Nobel Peace Prize.
