The Desert Sun of Palm Springs reports an animal control officer freed the kitten following a 40-minute process that involved removing the bumper.
The kitten is OK and available for adoption at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.
Now, a while back there have been claims of "big foot" attacking a car and this is the damage the owners said it caused to their car.

(60,567 posts)If I lived there and was in need of a cat, I'd head straight for the shelter with money in hand to pay for vaccinations, spay/neuter, fees, or whatever.

And some of the owners should probably be put down.
Poor kitty.

(100,715 posts)it's our border collie that thinks he can tell the cat what to do,
not all pit owners are created alike . we rescued Lola at 18 months and she
is definately a pit bull she howls like a hound dog when talking. The border Collie we rescued
has been far more challenging (anything leather is at risk)

(28,158 posts)It had to be terrified. I'm glad it's alright. It ran through at least 7 of its lives though.

(16,402 posts)[font color="green" face="Verdana"]What a terrifying start in life!
One of my cats was rescued quite literally from the jaws of a street dog when she was just a stray handful of fluff. The neighbor who rescued her couldn't keep her and brought her to me. She's now almost 2-1/2 and still shows visible terror, trembling and whimpering, at the sight or sound of any dog.
I hope this poor baby is adopted into a safe and loving home soon.
