5. Ptarmigan and they will block you from crossing a road

river, or lake...… meanass birds! But gorgeous!

If the polar vortex keeps kicking ass in the winter months, my chances of seeing one

7. I'd send you some but they're notoriously hard to catch

while alive! We seriously had a couple block our Jeep going into Denali Park - and they were SERIOUS about it! Just had to wait them out.

I could probably send a raven, but they're huge and mean, too.....

8. They sound feisty like wild turkeys.

Wild turkeys are very territorial.

We have those in abundance.

We also have ravens.

9. Much smaller - wild turkeys are probably 3x the size.

And I've encounter those mean ass birds a few times in Alabama.
