I just finished sending an email to the Department of Tourism of the state of Missouri. I told them that if they send a man like Mr. Akin to the Senate, I would not feel safe being around a population that thought Congressman Akin's made up "science" was true, and thereby thought him fit to be a Senator. And I am not lying about that. I would not feel safe there.
My spouse and I usually travel to MO at least once every year, usually for 2 to 3 days.
I think these folks need to hear from us.

I don't expect any action or even a response, but I think it would make for some interesting state house conversation when department heads get together.

Lovely State, but I do not go by choice to places where ignorance is celebrated. If their Senatorial candidate is that stupid imagine the sort of emergency medical care one might encounter in such a place!

But I have a question for you, do you boycott other states as well due to their political figures? Like, oh, say, Wisconsin. After all, they've already elected Paul Ryan, who is just as bad as Akin is. The only difference is he can keep his mouth shut.
