Kiddies should understand, and 'fancy's' never important, imo. I know, we went through it. NOT important.

(7,099 posts)That would explain these bills. I thought I was stealing it from my neighbor's unsecured router. In any case, the actual question is: what fucking business of yours is it if people buy guns or Christmas presents? Sure, you're perfect, we've covered that, but most people don't donate every cent they make to political candidates. Who are you to judge them?

(27,711 posts)You've managed to re-frame the basic questions. Are you a politician?

(2,338 posts)If you have children and they dream and look forward to "Santa's presents"...what is a parent to do?
IMO - give up your morning Starbucks coffee to contribute. That's what, $5 a day? At least $20 bucks a work-week. Now THAT I will happily give up to donate.
But considering how bad the economy is right now, I wouldn't want to deprive my kids at Christmas.
BTW, my "kids" are 27 and 29 years old, so it isn't an issue for me personally..but probably is for other parents of young children.

(8,084 posts)Christmas and Birthday for him. I once asked if it was ok if we started a tradition of putting up the tree on his birthday
he said "no they have to be separate" So I seriously doubt I could get away with sorry kids I donated all our Christmas/ Birthday money to the Obama Campaign.
But I can give my time

I already gave a little to the Obama campaign. After the Sept. rent and utilities are paid, then I will try to get my star back.
I enjoy buying a little something for my loved ones for Christmas.

I'm going to ramp up my giving to the Obama campaign over the next few months.

Besides there is no guarantee my vote will even be counted, at least with a present I do not like, I can return it for cash!
