So, German cars are a "threat" to the national security of the USA? Here's the German view:

[IMG][/IMG]

Trump suddenly sees the number of German cars in the USA as a threat to our national security. (Using that logic, I wouldn't want to own too many Taco Bell franchises right now.)

"US Markt" means the American automobile market.

Seeing as how the biggest BMW factory in the world is in South Carolina, Trump had better get Lindsey Graham down there fast to close down the enemy installation, put a few thousand Americans out of work, put a dent in South Carolina's economy and send a billion dollars' worth of German investment out of the USA to Mexico. That should REALLY improve our national security!

"Amerika stellt sich quer" can mean "America puts itself in the way," or "America blocks the road."

The Con can't force people to buy American when there are better products available.
That is how he runs his crappy business - mediocre shit at ridiculous prices like his Trump steaks, wine, etc.

If the Germans build better cars, those that can afford them WILL afford them.

Seeing as how the X series of BMW cars are ALL built in South Carolina, the ones driven outside the USA are US exports, helping balance out our trade deficit. One fly in the ointment is that some of the PARTS for the cars built in the USA are imported from Germany. If punishing tariffs are imposed on the parts, the cost of the cars will go up both in the States AND for the ones exported (including the ones sold back to Germany). If this goes through, any foreign car manufacturer will be looking to pull their production out of the USA in the medium term, and they won't return.

Of course, all those BMW workers in South Carolina and Mercedes workers in Alabama, will still vote for Trump, since, well, America is made great again this way. Isn't it?

Maybe we need to start importing Russian Cars?
(Available in one color - Trump Orange)
Or we could bring back the Yugo!
Those should be just fine with the asshole in charge.

I'm surprised there's no Russian Insurance Companies to offer ACA, Pharma Life and Home(less) Owner Insurance...yet!

Mercedes Plant in Alabama,Toyota Plant in Kentucky and Texas, Nissan in Texas, Kia/Hyundai in Alabama, I could list more, but obviously, Captain Combover has only one talking point in front of him. This idiot-in-chief is only capable of trashing one Nation at a time. Let' see who he goes after next Maybe his BMW Limo broke down on him once, and thought it was time for payback?

I only saw a clip of the end of it and she made sure to point out that the biggest plant in the world was in South Carolina. She ended by noting that Germany was not a security threat to the United States.. and was met with resounding applause.

This was the same conference that Pence spoke at and said he brings greetings from President Trump. When Pence stopped for applause he was met with dead silence.

It got worse from there, Pence criticized Europe for their support of the Iran treaty, and then chided them for not giving more support of NATO.. each time he paused for applause and it was dead silent.

Pence was visibly shaken. I think that was the only emotion of any kind I have ever seen that robot Pence show

Putin must be doing high fives

I just hope our allies will be patient until the US cleans up the mess and disaster the Russians have done to our country

Our economy and workforce will feel it big time.

Say the next president takes over, does the necessary damage control, and the overseas manufacturers ask what guarantees do you have for us that this will not happen again?

At this point, the only two truthful answers to that are "none," and "oh shit, I was hoping you wouldn't ask that."

double what the US pays our workers. Why wouldn't Germany build a plant in S.C.?

I have only been in a Walmart 2 times in my life. I just bought a pair of Red Wing boots at our local country store. I just bought a foreign car, a Subaru, that was made in Indiana.

My point is that if everyone would have shopped as I did we would be at full employment with higher wages. Trump supporters are globalists, they shop wherever they can get the cheapest product. Trump is a globalist, he didn't build factories in America, he built them overseas.

The bottom line; Angela Merkel just gave a biting speech that hit at Trump hard. She bashed Trump up one side and down the other and she got standing ovations. Mike Pence, on the other hand, was met with deafening silence when he gave his speech. Trump holds grudges, he is lashing back at Merkel because he is personally offended by her, it has nothing to do with his doing what is in America's best interests.

Isn't it comforting to truly understand exactly what is driving our policy-making decisions?

I don't know if our next Democratic president will be able to clean up this mess in just two terms....... but we've GOT to get started - NOW!
