Hi! I知 Trixie, Your Friendly Weather Girl (Juanita Jean gives GOPeas advice about Hurricane Isaac)

You’ve heard about the big hurricane headed straight for Tampa? Personally, I’m with Pat Robertson on this one – hurricanes are God’s way of punishing evil people.

But, I am willing to use my whole two hours at meteorology school to solve all the problems this might cause Republicans.

So, the way I see it, the Republicans have three choices:

1. Stand outside the convention hall and blow all their hot air counterclockwise, neutralizing the hurricane rotation.

2. Duck, cover, and shut the hell up.

3. Quit being spiteful in the eyes of the Lord.

Since #1 and #3 are almost impossible for them to do, I would suggest that #2 is their only viable alternative. I will even send duct tape if that will help.

I did have to laugh last night when a Republican official said that they had a contingency plan if their convention had to be cancelled. Yeah, vote Democratic.

pray for rain of, "Biblical proportions" to come down during the 2008 Democratic convention.

And remember what happened? Democrats had bright sunny wonderful weather for their convention and the Republicans were kept away from their convention for 2 1/2 days because of a hurricane! The hurricane kind of ruined their convention.

I bet that pastor is not praying for anything this year.

... already have a counterclockwise rotation (in the Northern Hemisphere). Thus, having GOPhers blow their hot air in a counterclockwise direction would reinforce the hurricane's rotation, instead of neutralizing it.

(I have to wonder at the beast between my ears that troubles itself with such minutiae.)

What kind of idiot plans an event on the Florida coast during Hurricane Season?

You would think 2008 would have given them a clue.

I guess that is just too much science for them

to give them torrential downpours but not an excuse to cancel their Three Day Hate.

I hope the roof leaks. Really I do.
