I don't know about you, but I don't plan to watch the GOP Convention

A week of lies and bombast which the MSM will merrily report. I'll probably tune in to Big Ed and Rachel for updates and depend on those brave souls here at DU who actually watch and report on the proceedings, but as for me--I just can't do it.

...the proceedings and am looking forward to watching it all degenerate. I'm hoping by the time Mitt speaks, the convention center will have become a little political Donner Party wasteland, with open fires on the convention floor, Ron Paul delegates stripped to the waist and wearing primitive warpaint, party faithful holed up in bunkers by the bathroom exits, firing tracer rounds in the darkness in hopes of illuminating the wild eyes of a Paul supporter with a Bowie knife between their teeth.

Also hoping when it comes time for Mitt to give his speech, one of the support tethers on the rig he's wearing as they lower him down from the rafters (Mitt ex machina) breaks, canting his body at an unusual angle and making it look like he's heiling Hitler all the way down as he's lowered to the podium.
