It's time to resurrect WAC: Women's Action Coalition

I went to meetings in the early nineties in NYC. Some of the elder women discussed how they used to have to teach each other how to give safe abortions, waaaay back in the day. The meetings were so powerful to me as a young woman coming into my own. We would vote on actions to protest, with topics such as protesting at the courthouse a group of boys who raped a mentally challenged woman. Several women's art activists groups came out of WAC that were really inspiring.
