And it would also be nice if billionaires weren't. But that's wishful thinking.

That's not a final *ruling* however.

Trump is not king. No man is above the law and this thing about "a sitting president cannot be indicted" has just been a policy, not a law, not a ruling.

(3,813 posts)... It sure would have been nice if Holder had acted even a little like a few thousand bankster executives could have been indicted WHILE HE WAS ATTORNEY GENERAL!
At this late stage, his words are cheap but they would be worth quite a bit more had Holder not left a gaping omission in his long career in the Obama Administration.

(5,810 posts)Immediate indictment. What that line is may not be known (or agreed upon at this point) but there must be a point that we can all agree is it. Murder? Stealing? Treason? Money laundering? Blackmail? Surely those that are knowledgeable of our laws can figure this out. We say no man (or woman) is above the law. So lets Prove that.

(6,831 posts)The Founding Fathers were very thorough in their planning for their fledgling new government's functions to avoid abuse of power. It is inconceivable to me that they would have decided that ANYONE would be above the law.
So even if AG Holder didn't quote chapter and verse, I have faith that some where in government documents there is something that clarifies the procedure and the process. I just cannot fathom that Washington, Jefferson, Franklin. Madison, et al would have over looked such an important matter.
