First, perjury must relate to a material fact. Whether Cohen wanted to have a White House is frankly irrelevant.
One headline says this "perjury" might "invalidate" his testimony: [link:https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/28/politics/michael-cohen-donald-trump-white-house/index.html|
What a crock! It won't invalidate the documents or the leads he has give to Muller and the House Dems. That's Cohen's greatest value now.
There is a massive effort to discredit Cohen on Google News/the media sites it gets its feeds from based on this kind of nonsense.

(3,344 posts)And I'm sure, without even looking, that that CNN "headline" is from first-class dipshit Chris Cilizza, right?
Never, ever, ever, under any circumstances, read Chris Cilizza.

(7,715 posts)It's all the articles appearing in a very short time popping up as lead stories on Google News.
My uber point, which I didn't articulate here but have mentioned in other posts, is that this is very clearly orchestrated, to the point that someone has to be engaging in search engine optimization to force stories to the top. If true, it would be VERY nice if those who knew how could counter this attempt to give far more visibility to these stories via Google and perhaps other sites than I think is really happening.
Pure speculation, but it seems to happen over and over again.

(5,412 posts)does not lie in the words he speaks.
His value lies in the evidence he can provide. You know, facts, documents, etc?
Indignant outrage is no substitute for facts.
Nice to see the pro-Trump snowflakes doing mental gymnastics as their value systems get demolished, though.
Giggle worthy, even!
Even Trump has to distort what Cohen has said regarding collusion:
Cohen: I have no direct evidence regarding collusion, but I have my suspicions.
Trump: Cohen said it, no collusion!
Response to post #5:
I think you may be right. Dark forces at work, as before? Trolls cranking it up?

is that the toothpaste is out of the tube, to paraphrase Bob Haldeman from a Watergate tape.
Nothing can invalidate the information and incontrovertible documentary evidence that Cohen and the others are giving, no matter what trolling, SEO'ing, or hacking that the "other" side does.
To the "Other Side": you should have picked a better and smarter candidate than Trump! He and the buffoons that surround him have given the plot away hook, line, and sinker in gory detail. Thanks for letting us know what fools you and they are! It's all coming out now and there is basically nothing that can be done to stop it.

(4,533 posts)In his answer at the hearing Cohen referred to a lawyer who determined that his lawyer client privilege would be limited if he worked in the White House. Maybe before he learned about that he wanted a job in the White House but then changed his mind. That would explain why CNN reporters were sure Cohen had wanted to work at the White House but Cohen said he turned down the job. But even if Cohen is lying, so what? We are concerned with Trump, not Cohen. And we have evidence about Trump based on documents, recordings and witnesses who corroborate Cohen, not based on Cohens statements alone.

(7,715 posts)My point was that several of the top stories related to the "perjury". That is highly unusual and had to be coordinated.
These are top stories. How did they get to be top stories, even for a few minutes, is the issue.
