(6,280 posts).... turn on MSNBC and one of the first things I see and hear is trump jr. and devin nunez calling for the release to the public of the complete Mueller report with no redactions. Waiting to hear more, but I am still at the WTF stage. Stupid or cocky?

(13,776 posts)If its a real book, its just titled The Mueller Report. Presumably theres no reason an author cant call a book anything he wants and put an imitation of the Justice Department seal on it.

(4,305 posts)and get it to the attention of someone in Muellers office. This is seriously messed up.

(41,987 posts)Read the results of the most important political investigation since Watergate.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller IIIs investigation into Russian influence on the 2016 election of Donald Trumpincluding links between the campaign and Russian interests, obstruction of justice by President Trump, and any other matters that may arise in the course of the investigationhas been the focal point of American politics since its inception in May 2017.
President Trump and his supporters affirm that the investigation is a witch hunt and the product of a plot by the political establishmentthe deep stateto delegitimize his presidency. Democrats in the US House of Representatives hope to use the report to begin impeachment proceedings, with the support of those critical of the president. Media tracks Muellers every move, and the investigation has been subject to constant speculation by political pundits everywhere. It has resulted in the indictments of Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, and many others.
Now, the wait is over. Mueller, a lifelong Republican, has concluded his investigation and submitted its findings to Attorney General William Barr. The Mueller investigation will join Watergate, and the Mueller report will join the Starr Report, as one of the most important in American history.
The Mueller Report is required reading for everyone with interest in American politics, for every 2016 and 2020 voter, and every American. Its now available here as an affordable paperback, featuring an introduction from eminent civil libertarian, Harvard Law Professor Emeritus, and New York Times bestselling author Alan Dershowitz, who provides a constitutional, civil law-based commentary sorely needed in todays media landscape.
Oh no, no bullshit there. It's available for pre-order btw.

Please go to Amazon's page and report it. The link to report a problem is right below the book's description.

(41,987 posts)The description is pure Trumpian propaganda and the product does not exist. It's unconscionable that Amazon would keep it up there.

(1,990 posts)This one is also on Amazon, and is apparently by the Washington Post staff.
Is there major news about the report that we haven't heard about on DU? Why are both books dated March 26?

(6,568 posts)Two books were announced earlier. One from WaPo, and this one from Skyhorse with the Dershowitz forward.
Still dont see it described as a witch hunt. Only reference to that phrase in its description is refering to Trump and his cronies.
ETA, I meant Skyhorse, not Scribner. Scribner is publishing the WaPo book.

(41,987 posts)It wasnt worded at all the way Id expect a Dept. of Justice document would be. The whole thing, the unreliable date of release, the description, Skyhorse , all are bizarre for any government document.
Dr Hobbitstein
(6,568 posts)Skyhorse is one of two companies publishing the same report. That report would be authored by the DOJ. The DOJ did not write that press release.
Dershowitz is adding a forward to the Skyhorse one. That, as far as has been announced, is the only difference between the two releases.
