5. Is this like the GOP recent flip on the death penalty? They figured too

many Americans are negatively effected by climate change to deny it anymore? That they need a bigger base and reconnection to them. The death penalty thing was to reconnect to religious right when they would not make abortion illegal despite owning three branches of government I think.
