OK, take a day or so to be dispirited. We're entitled. We genuinely care about justice and the

mildest adjective for the Manafort sentence is "outrageous". It is, I hope, normal to have at least fleeting "what the hell's the use" feelings sweep over us. But, let's acknowledge that we have a choice to make: we can whimper and "go quiet" OR we can regroup, grit our teeth, show the world our "Eastwood eyes" and get right back into the fray.

I'll be the gray-haired guy in the "Impeach Trump" tee.

It's the swings of elation and depression that is the killer in this whole Trump Russier thing. OnDoutside Mar 2019 #6

The judge tried to destroy the case every way he could, and Muelled’s team prevailed. Still relieved that they pulled it off.

This ruling took a lot of wind out of the sails and I feel like we just keep waiting for a breath of air to push our sails. I am trying to not be negative but there are times that I feel like just throwing up my hands and focusing solely on raising my kids and teaching them how to grow up in a world where America is a sad and terrible place. All of it every single day is just a reminder that as a nation we are a group where nearly half of us are just awful people. And what's more is that the most awful of these people will barely have any justice served upon them. That increasingly the screws are being put to us so that it is harder and harder to work to make this a better place to live. I don't know I hate to be this much of a downer but honestly I really don't know how much more of this shit I can take.

Taking my day. Hopefully we get some good news

the huge disparity between his effectively 3 years for $55 million worth of white collar felony over years and what happens to others. This is the result of 40 years of conservative domination of a nation that had previously made huge advances but wasn't "there" yet.

But for Manafort there are other sentences to be handed down.

For us, there is November 3, 2020 when we can create a solid MAJORITY of people who believe in equality and good government. Itm, dispirited, hell. This was and is all about taking power away from the kind of people who can never be trusted not to abuse it, and us.
