Ever hear of a site called "Documenting Reality?"

It is a web site for those who like seeing video and pictures of car accidents, plane crashes, industrial accidents, the gory-er the better apparently.

(I don't like gory pictures or videos myself, a guy I know sent me the URL)

It's kind of like that video series from decades ago, "Faces Of Death."

But they have the full video from the New Zealand shooter there.

Watched about 3 minutes of the actual shooting, that was enough.

I actually wouldn't be sad if another prisoner beat that shooter to death. The guy was methodical and kept shooting and re-shooting people.

1st one with the actual shooting could be mistaken for a video game except you know damn well it's not. The gore and wailing in the one a member inside the mosque shot afterward is way more traumatic.

Yes, I bear witness, why should I be spared?

Now I'm pissed.

When there were suggestions last night that it ought to be shown on TV, I was afraid that if any media took up the suggestion it would actually be counter-productive because it was so devoid of feeling - video game-like.

The second is much more powerful.

They're like training programs. Actually we used to use something similar in the Marines but it was real weapons (but electronic kind of like laser tag) in a room with props and a wall sized screen. We could even fire grenades and other explosives. Seems like a bad idea to "train" our kids to be efficient in urban combat.

was you could see the business end of the weapon, actually about half of the damn thing, point and shoot and then when he dropped clips and re-loaded like the old Doom game.

Pretty sick.

I've read that Facebook, Youtube and Twitter have removed all videos related to this massacre - and rightly so. It can only be used to incite the crazies, as if they needed anything more. Sane people are gonna avoid it anyway.
