CNN poll: Trump's disapproval rating slides to lowest of presidency

By Michael Burke - 03/18/19 05:19 PM EDT

President Trump's disapproval rating has dropped to the lowest point of his presidency in CNN polling.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/434621-trumps-disapproval-rating-slides-to-lowest-of-presidency-cnn-poll#.XJA2VS-4dmA.twitter

The survey released Monday found that 51 percent of respondents disapprove of Trump's job performance, the lowest share since CNN began polling at the beginning of Trump's term.

Monday's poll also shows that 42 percent of respondents said they approve of Trump's performance, while the remaining respondents said they have no opinion.

In each of the previous versions of the survey, between 52 and 59 percent of respondents said they disapproved of the president. In the February edition of the poll, 55 percent said they disapproved and 40 percent said they approved.

The poll also found that a slim majority of voters — 51 percent — approve of Trump's handling of the economy, while 42 percent disapprove. Trump received worse marks on immigration, with just 39 percent of respondents saying they approve of how he's handled the issue and 58 percent saying they disapprove......................

1. Was this after the 737 grounding?

Right decision, stupidly handled (of course). Not even close to flipping it for me, but maybe for some?

his EO was a publicity stunt. The truth of the matter is that Boeing gave the OK to the FAA to ground the planes. They had no choice when Canada grounded the planes.

Polls are gimmicks done by the right to control the narrative. I believe in no polls.

There were 1003 people that took the poll, and I just can't buy that that few people can give an accurate representation of all of this country.

I also agree that trump did NOT make the decision, Boing and the FAA did, trump just took the credit, like most everything else he takes credit for, but never actually did it. If it's will make him look good he takes the credit, if it would make him look bad, he blames others.

8. I never meant to imply he made the decision himself.

The fact that it was a good decision is by itself a dead-giveaway that dumbass didn't come to it by himself.

I'm just speculating that the perception of decisiveness may have swayed the polls.

This process was still hopelessly screwed up by the FAA and Boeing. Even if they ended up in the right place, it took way too long to get there. And for what? The worst thing that could happen to Boeing right now is to have another crash.

4. How could an average person confirm that is accurate?

We can't. Why are we trusting "polls" so much then? Polls seem to me to be 'attitude adjusters,' for people who aren't going along with the majority of public thought. What better way to nudge people to forcibly ACCEPT conclusions about what's happening in politics, even if it runs contrary to their own thought process, and analysis. I go by my honest informed gut feeling. It's meant to break your will by gaslighting you. I think polls are easily manipulated and they use them to justify whatever they want. Beware polls generally imo.
When the president(?) lies, it's open season on systemic dishonesty, and wholesale fraudulent numbers, whenever it suits the powers that be. I think polls are suspect. mo
We are at the mercy of a man and family, who are reprehensible, and would stop at nothing to get their way. They have gutted consumer protections, and destroyed so much already. We are much much less safer. And the gop doesn't care bc they are already compromised, and are praying trump pulls one out of his ass, and does turn America into an Oligarchy.
trump equates breaking/nullifying past presidential signings and treaties, as governing through introspection and doing the thing bc it's right. He's just lazy. He couldn't formulate an initiative like Obamacare, and get it passed, if his life depended on it. Destroying stuff, watching tv and then insulting everyone from his phone, isn't governing.

in public, eavesdrop on people's conversations. You will then understand why dipshit's approval is so high. Lots of talk about what's happening on some dumbass "reality" show, what they're planting in their garden, etc. Point is, no one seems to care. It's aggravating AF! When we become a full fledged nazi dictatorship, it'll be too late. History repeating itself.
