My personal theory on the Kellyanne/George Conway er, um, situation.

Basically, during the election I see Kellyanne as being your average soulless Republican mercenary operative who signed onto the Trump campaign thinking somehow she could tame the beast and turn Trump into more or less your normal establishment type Republican.

However, that soon became an impossible task as Trump cannot be controlled.

The problem is at this point, Kellyanne is in too deep--Trump has been elected but Kellyanne knows where the bodies have been buried. She has full knowledge of a good amount of Trump's criminal activities and can't just easily extricate herself from the situation.

So basically, she goes Reductio ab Absurdium and starts spewing out the most ridiculous and atrocious talking points to the extent that it's impossible to take her seriously beyond a gross caricature. She's not even taking herself seriously at this point, not in the least.

She then enlists the help of her husband to act as a counter balance to her position. He goes Anti-Trump to counter her fascistly devoted Pro-Trump, and between the two of them, they end up as pretty much neutral.

It's with this hope that she somehow thinks she will survive the Trump years with less collateral damage than other members of the administration.

This is just a gut feeling and a theory, but it doesn't make any less sense than any other logical explanation for it all.

We've all heard for the last year or so that she's one of the biggest leakers. So, WHY is she still there? (I mean, I can sort of justify why she's still there from her POV. Why hasn't Trump fired her? Let her go? With all the online criticism he gets from her husband and all the reports that she leaks like a hole in a dam, how is she still in there?)

That’s how she stays. He’s easy to manipulate if you can put your ego aside and kiss his ass (and god only knows what else she might be doing for him).

about her kissing his ass. That's all he needs. Public ass kissing. It makes him feel like a big man, and he doesn't give a shit about anything else.

Who knows what she actually does in the White House. But she's drawing a "senior advisor" salary of $170K or so, which I realize is peanuts to most Trump staffers, but probably pays the mortgage.

Then when it's all over, she can claim that she always agreed with George, and this was all just a big joke on Trump.

I think you're right that her increasingly weird pronouncements and that fixed nutso smile and blank eyes are meant to be evidence that she never really meant it after all.

to them. Her husband is a VERY well paid lawyer and she has no need to work. The first line of her obituary is going to be "alternative facts". She'll never climb out of the trump sewer so if that's what she's hoping, she's an imbecile.

Another thought: I have noticed that Georges latest tweets have been about IQ45s mental state. Maybe they are trying to set the stage for 45 to escape criminal prosecution and instead go for mental incompetence. This would also tie in to 45s crazy tweets. Whatever the reason, they are working together for their own benefit.

campaign. But I also read that Kellyanne came with the Mercer team when they moved their set-up from Cruz to Trump. Whatever, George quickly got Trumps number and turned down two jobs in the administration. Kellyanne allegedly told someone in a green room, way, way back (maybe campaign time) that she was a Trump surrogate strictly for the money (so she's a ho). But she's publicly stated that George's comments amount to breaking their wedding vows! So, perhaps George knows that his wife is all show. I bet they have an understanding to not discuss their political statements at home. And I'm sure neither one wants to have to raise four kids on his/her own.

Maybe they're just angling for a post-Trump TV career as the Carville and Matalin of the right. There will be many years of TV shows chewing over "What happened!!??", which would provide endless opportunities for them to go on and act out the arguments that they're voicing over Twitter now.

being seen as the pathetic loser she is right now. she was the one who was viewed most positively on the trump side. this was "ok" i guess as long as he wasn't president. but now that he got into office and as things got worse her defense of him just made her look worse.

i think they both hate trump but they are still both right wing conservatives.

she can't leave trump because the right wing base they want to make money from would turn against her . she stays to keep the trump support and her husband is open with the criticism so they aren't seen as a total joke. playing both sides to remain profitable in the future.

also it's said that she is a huge leaker in the white house.

her Trumpista talking points, she'd remove her mic, shudder, and say she felt like she needed a shower.

IOW, she was openly telling them that Trump disgusted her and that her praise of him was just a performance.

Maybe this is her out?

She is in it for the money only. She has no personal belief system. She can change on a dime. She could promote Joe Biden by 10 am. But she can't say that she doesn't really believe trump...easier out to blame husband.

If her husband is supplying her out...this is a very good/bad sign. It means trump really is crazy.

Because, that is what this all is--a big con. It has people focusing on them and their marriage, and not on the mentally ill heap of shit that is squatting in the White House. One of the morning network shows brought up the tweets this morning. Did they focus on how Fat Bastard spends his days fighting with people on Twitter? Nope. They focused on George Conway and his tweets. Mission accomplished. It's all another distraction. Seems it's working quite well.

22. KellyAnne worked for the Mercers before she was with Chump
Wed Mar 20, 2019, 09:27 PM
Mar 2019

As a matter of fact I've read that the Mercers donated big $ to Chump's campaign after Ted Cruz went down in the primary, and they wanted KellyAnne working on Chump's campaign as their "eyes and ears." It was the same reason that Steve Bannon came to work on Chump's campaign - the Mercers wanted him there.

As for your idea that KellyAnne knows too much, I don't think that's the case. She could spill the beans on Cambridge Analytica for sure, but that's about all. Other than that she just does press backgrounders and fake-poll press releases. As long as the Mercers continue to like her, she's got a job at the White House. I doubt very much that she had anything to do with Russian hackers, stolen emails, or payoffs to nasty women.

I don't know what to believe about her husband, but it seems he's going out of his way to make enemies. What's up with that? Is he secretly working for the Mercers too? I don't have any idea.
