George Conway regular critic of President Donald Trump and husband to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway suggested on Friday that the president would be correct in thinking he needs to win re-election in 2020 to avoid being indicted.
Conway, a high-profile conservative lawyer, responded to a post on Twitter from New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, which floated the idea that folks in Trump's circle have thought about re-election as a strategy to avoid criminal issues.
"And reupping here that some POTUS advisers believe an not only, but one impetus for running again is that he could have criminal exposure in SDNY cases if he isnt in office," Haberman tweeted.
Conway who has been especially quick to throw barbs at the president via Twitter of late posted in response to the tidbit of reporting from Haberman.

(781 posts)I certainly hope our Democrat leadership strategy is right in that he will not win in 2020, because if you think 2016 was bad (dark $, fuc_ery from Russia et al, 2020 will be worse IMHO - he has much, much more to lose this time.
In case the low IQ corrupt trump wins...can you imagine that? And we didn't even try to impeach him. Better to have fought...
You don't go into a war because you know you'll win, you do it because it's the right thing to do.

(12,642 posts)Not Democrat as the name of the Party, or a derivitive of it. Thats what Publicans and those that listen to them have taken to calling the Democratic Party, as a put down. If you use it it marks you as a publican or fellow traveler.

Definately 1st time I've "marked" myself as a "publican or fellow traveler". My family and friends will love the irony!
