the next week probably won't be fun for us on du as donnie takes victory laps proclaiming his innocence and complete exoneration and that now everything is behind him.
but we all know it is not, as the house, sdny, nyag, and many other jurisdictions will continue to investigate him and his cronies.
as more and more news comes out between now and the election, this moment will start to look more and more like shrub's "mission accomplished" moment, taking credit for getting the job done when the job is not remotely over.
from a manipulative politics standpoint, i think donnie and his gang have set things up brilliantly to get the media to see anything short of formal indictment of donnie to be a victory for donnie. the only problem is timing. if the elections were next week, we'd be doomed.
fortunately for us, the elections are still over a year and a half for now, and by then, he's going to look incredibly stupid declaring victory and "complete exoneration" after the criminal scandal cloud metastasizes to other places and keeps making news that remind us just how profoundly corrupt donnie and his gang are.
let donnie have this moment. in fact, be happy for him to overreach as much as possible. it will bite him in the end.
patience.
