I trust Scott Dworkin a fucking boatload more than I trust robert mueller iii.
But people here are strangely defending mueller and attacking Dworkin. Go figure.

(6,231 posts)What came out wasn't exactly from Mueller. It was from Barr.

(1,220 posts)If mueller didn't want trump to get all ahead of this story and he was concerned about the danger we're facing something would have been done to prevent what is tantamount to victory for trump in all this, no matter what the report says at this point.
Don't people get it? The story is now an apocryphal tale. How the evil press attacked trump. Now they go after the evil press and investigate everyone else who opposes them. Who's going to stop them? The "justice" department.
trump said it and once again no one listened - his justice department, his military, his police, his judges.
Thanks to mueller and barr trump just shot America dead on 5th Avenue and no one cares.

(1,220 posts)Some people consider Dworkin and Mensch "resistance grifters" - whatever that means.
You'd think that with the clear and present dangers we are facing they'd have other targets for their scorn.

(423 posts)Mensch is a pretender & has no damn clue what she's talking about. She pushes conspiracy theories all the damn time. And on top of it she's incredibly rude.
Dworkin is none of these things.

(36,875 posts)Then again, we still have Mensch and Avenatti defenders here.
DirtEdonE
(1,220 posts)People responded regarding the barr letter saying nonsense like "I guess the evidence just wasn't there" when we all saw the evidence daily in the news courtesy of people like Dworkin, Mensch and Avenatti.
Funny how they're being targeted now that meuller and barr have completed their dirty work.
Funnier still how we have people here defending mueller.
But keep attacking people on our side while trump and co. maintain full speed ahead with their agenda. That should work out well.
robert mueller iii's investigation was just a ruse to keep us waiting for two years while the traitor and the gop put their agenda in place. And now it's too late. So let's shoot the messengers.

(33,643 posts)What's probably NOT there ... is evidence that actually breaks our existing laws, or if it might, there's not actually enough of it to bring charges.
Speaking specifically of the actions taken in conspiracy with Russian actors to influence the election, and excluding the lies to investigators and under oath (and all the rest of Trumps financial crimes).
The lack of laws covering what these guys did is the real problem for a guy like Mueller. Too many degrees of separation, and you had professional criminals like the GRU, plus Manafort and Stone running the interactions. They knew what they could get away with. Just don't actually solicit, or pay for in some way ... the documents that were stolen, and don't ever actually possess any of them yourself, and pretty much legally you're in the clear.
Oh, and don't work with like a Russian Congressmen or actual GRU agent. Russia was smart enough to use cutouts all along, cause they've been doing this shit for DECADES.
Unfortunately Rudy was right when he said 'what is the CRIME here? The theft of the documents!'. Indeed, that IS the only clear crime. Trump and his crew were never going to get into real trouble unless it could be shown they participated in that theft or took receipt of the stolen goods physically. This is why making sure Wikileaks handled and released the docs was critical. They already have a long history of doing EXACTLY like what they did releasing the DNC docs that they received from hackers or insider-types like Chelsea M.
We'd all like to believe that if Jr. asked Stone to try to find out what in the stolen docs ahead of time it's somehow illegal, but it's not.
Bottom-line the laws were too weak to prevent this sequence of events from happening, or from ever being prosecuted.
DirtEdonE
(1,220 posts)But it seems than when the average person runs afoul of the law the prosecutors these days drop myriad charges on them then let the jury decide.
I guess we just couldn't find the exact right law to make sure these people were all 100 percent guilty for sure before they went to trial.
No further indictments recommended. Please. This is a whitewash just like the Warren Report, Iran Contra, Bridgegate, etc. And I've been saying that for a while. This took too long. They were just lining up their stories. The fix was in all along.
DirtEdonE

And expose a lot of really , really bad things on trump and many others.Hope they can get him in there very , very soon. Felix Sater is going before them this Wed., and that has to have trump upset and worried too.

(4,612 posts)account for Mueller's more forthcoming answers. Probably better to not even deal with Barr at all, though, his presence in the conversation isn't helpful- his purpose, his role, is to obfuscate. There's a reason the Republicans are TRYING to get him to testify in the Senate quickly.
