If the Trump admin gets the courts to repeal the ACA entirely...

And that means pre-existing conditions are back, then I don't want to sign up for any health insurance that's OK with a vaccine exemption.

No vaccines, no coverage.

Guns in the home and affluenza should also increase your rates, with affluenza skyrocketing those rates.

I think that's reasonable.

1. If ACA goes it will be interesting to see how insurers react

Will they role back coverage immediately or will they take a wait and see approach.

They will probably act quickly because many people will no longer be able to afford coverage without the subsidies.

It'll be interesting to see how Roberts votes.

5. Only healthy people will be able to afford individual insurance

If you get a chronic illness or disease, your rates will increase dramatically. If you cannot pay, you will be dropped from the plan.

The only plans available to those with specific preexisting conditions will be catastrophic with high deductibles and lifetime caps.

Medical tourism stocks might improve, but many Americans will suffer.

FYI- I have several autoimmune issues, that while pretty inexpensive to manage currently, would dramatically increase my private insurance rates if the ACA gets overturned.

If you are over 45, healthy or not, you'll be shit out of luck. It's already prohibitively expensive for those of us over 50 who live in states that turned down the Medicare expansion and don't qualify for an ACA subsidy. And, that also goes for women of any age. Back to paying more than men.

8. Agreed. Age will be a preexisting condition.

I am currently over 50 on my spouses employer provided plan with excellent coverage in a blue state. He is close to retirement so when he decides to retire, I will lose that insurance. I was planning on using the ACA with no subsidies to bridge to Medicare. We have been saving up for it. I was a non-working spouse for many years raising my son and only recently took a very part time job (no benefits). I would gladly buy into Medicare if given the chance.

9. Insurance does not mandate medical care

it pays for care it determines is covered that is elected by the patient.

That's a slippery slope you don't want to go down. What other care might insurance companies mandate? Abortion for fetuses with very expensive health issues? Chemotherapy when you've decided it is not in your best interest?
