and let him claim it was a joke. He still needs to do some explaining. Was it his joke, did he make it up himself? Why would he joke about Putin paying Trump and Rohrabacher, what data led him to make that joke?

Is it a joke that is going around Republicans in Congress? Are there more people that McCarthy is joking about Trump getting paid by Putin?

Why was Ryan so concerned about "the joke" getting out into the public? Why did they deny McCarthy even made the joke? Why did they change their stories about the joke 3 times if it was just a joke?
