As for CBS, this is quite in line with what I have come to expect from them. Call me jaded, but I'm not surprised at all.

Its a terrible article. How could it purportedly be about Schiffs response without quoting more than a few words of his while piling on with paragraphs quoting the GOPs attacks? Honestly, its as if the person writing this was auditioning for Sarah Sanders job (and theyd have earned it).
