He is even in Montana right now and in Utah he is currently up by a couple of pts now but was down by as many as 5 pts in January.
He is also down by 5 in Ohio and down by 10 in Iowa.
Edited the title:
My mistake, as I had the bar moved which showed him down by 5 points in Utah.

(10,584 posts)Smith's supposed original statement predicts that the US Constitution will one day "hang like a thread" but be saved by Latter-day Saints. The embellished version portrays it to be "by the efforts of the White Horse."
Most Mormons dont even know what the White Horse Prophecy is and very few believe in it and see it as a faith promoting rumor.
Joseph Smiths prophesying power was about as accurate as his translation of the Book of Abraham.

(15,489 posts)Even if his approval was 30% approve, they still wouldn't vote for a Democrat in such a deep red state. Montana is possible, and Ohio is a toss-up.

Even if they don't approve of Trump, they disapprove of us even more.

(13,874 posts)Especially in the South. LBJ is reported to have said Well, there goes the South for a generation when he signed the 1964 Civil Rights Act. He was wrong - we are now well into the second generation since then and race is still the core of the southern GOP strategy.

(15,290 posts)I think it will be the next swing state. Ohio is full of old, disgruntled, scared white people. Every cycle, it becomes less of a swing state. Utah is an outside chance should there be a GOP alternative to Trump who would divide the vote where a Dem got a plurality.
