Again! There are degrees of offense.

Grabbing Pussy cause you can get away with it because you are a celebrity is a high degree offense.

Attempting rape in a drunken stupor is a high degree offense.

Drugging women and the raping them is an order of higher offense.

Raping women while wielding power over their professional lives is a high degree offense.

Joe Biden kissing the back of a woman’s head and placing hands on shoulders is a LOW level degree offense.

Damn why the fuck are people not making these distinctions loud and clear.

I am a proud member of me too but damn we cannot hold men of yesterday standards to today’s standards in retrospect. Men who acknowledge the minor low degree offenses need to be forgiven and allowed to live their respectable lives.

I'm under no illusion that I clearly understand the demands being made of both men and women in this era. But change isn't necessarily positive. Note that the flapper era - one in which women were sexually liberated and mores were challenged, eventually led to post-war rigid roles. The free-love sixties led to the meat-market eighties. Which eras were "better" for the sexes?

Note, BTW, that Biden came of age in the sixties. He's not of the patriarchal generation of my Dad, who came of age in the late forties.

What is the millennial generation a reaction to? And, for women, is it better or worse than Biden's?

we need to have this conversation and set some standards. We can't demand change without allowing people to change and giving them credit for changing.

I like your distinction of degrees of offense - we need to start talking about what are the degrees and what is a reasonable atonement for those degrees.

6. While Joe Biden was wrong, metoo has been weaponized for political purposes.

It’s ridiculous. What Joe Biden did is nowhere near as bad as what Brett Kavanaugh did. What Trump did is magnitudes worse than what both men did.

Could we stop pretending all are equally horrendous acts? Joe Biden was wrong, but nowhere near the level of Trump.

Also, I feel like even saying this draws accusations that “you’re defending what Joe Biden did!” Nope - Joe Biden was wrong. However, the fact that anyone is comparing Joe Biden to Brett Kavanaugh is absurd. The fact that Democrats are joining in on the attack is even worse.

Metoo is becoming a weapon for faux outrage and trolling.
